Rashmi Somvanshi’s Nazariya wins the best film award at Bengaluru International Short Film Festival
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 17: Actor, Producer, Writer turned Director RashmiSomvanshi has won the best film award for her debut short film Nazariya at the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival. The film won under Women’s Collective Competition section.
The film shot in picturesque snow clad Manali is about a newly married couple and their own perspectives. The film stars Aniruddh Dave and PrachiHada and is produced under Rashmi’s banner July Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd.
Says Rashmi, “this has been a wonderful experience, having acted, produced and worked in various departments of film making, directing was therapeutic to me, I could see my idea getting alive right in front of me. Would like to soon direct my feature film.
I feel humbled to win at BISFF, Women’s Collective Competition section which is the largest short film festival in India and also the only Oscar qualifying festival where so many amazing short films from around the globe were nominated.”
